It can also be used as desizing agent, scouring agent, mercerizing agent and solvent of vat dye and navy blue dye in textile printing and dyeing industry. It can be used to manufacture aluminum hydroxide, aluminum oxide and metal surface treatment agent in smelting industry. The instrument industry is used as acid neutralizer, decolorizer and deodorizer. The adhesive industry is used as starch paste and neutralizer.
